This one is an N series from 1970 and is in very good condition. Very rare to find a gold brass Mt Vernon 50 with nickel slide, and even more rare to already have it modernized with some of the best rotary valves in the world. Being slide tuning, the bell is lightly braced and creates an aesthetically pleasing trombone. The 8 was designed to be Earl's symphonic trombone. The range of the B♭ soprano trombone is E3 to C6, though it is not usually written higher than B♭5.
